Remarquable
Fox News heeft zich sinds 11 september ontpopt als een van de trouwste, kortzichtigste en blind-patriottische nieuwsdiensten in de Verenigde Staten. Het zou me dus ook niet moeten verbazen om daar zo'n raar, ongefundeerd francobashing verhaal aan te treffen.

Ik weet niet precies wat de schrijfster wil bereiken met het opsommen van clichés en veelal bronloze anekdotes. Ook zet ze zichzelf nogal te kijk wat betreft haar geschiedeniskennis.

"The guillotine inventors, meanwhile, perpetually pride themselves in having abolished the "barbaric" death penalty. Kill their killers they won't, but handing over 10,000 citizens for the gas chambers was never an issue."

"What was the first place child rapist Roman Polanski thought to go where he could thrive in exile? France, of course, where art redeems all."

Niettemin een amusante lap tekst, als je het met de juiste instelling leest.

Inderdaad. Wat een waardeloos stuk. Waar bewijsmateriaal nodig is wordt gespeeld met sentimenten en waar zelf die ontbreken wordt een zinloze conversatie met hoogstwaarschijnlijk fictieve personen opgevoerd:
