Bij protesten in de VS heeft de stad San Francisco een opmerkelijk record behaald: 1400 arrestaties in één dag.
"Most face citations for blocking traffic and failing to follow police orders, but at least 18 face felony charges."
Volgens de laatste cijfers zouden het er zelfs 1500 zijn. In de rechterkolom van de San Francisco Gate stond nog dit onsmakelijke artikel:
"...some protesters at the Federal Building staged a "vomit in,'' by heaving on the sidewalks and plaza areas in the back and front of the building to show that the war in Iraq made them sick, according to a spokesman."
